Information We Collect

• Account information, such as your name, email address, Apple Sign In identifier, and basic profile settings.
• Task content you create, including tasks, subtasks, priorities, due dates, project names, notes, timer sessions, daily stats, onboarding answers, and app preferences.
• AI and transcription inputs you choose to submit, such as Brain Dump text, task descriptions, productivity-analysis requests, and audio recordings for transcription.
• Purchase and subscription status from Apple and RevenueCat, including entitlement state, product identifiers, renewal state, and restore-purchase information.
• Device, diagnostics, and usage information, such as app version, crash reports, error logs, feature usage, and performance events.
• Waitlist and support information, such as your name, email address, social handle if provided, messages, and support attachments you choose to send.

How We Use Information

• Provide core app features, including task management, scheduling, reminders, Pomodoro sessions, analytics, account sync, and settings.
• Process AI features, including task breakdowns, Brain Dump organization, productivity analysis, and transcription.
• Verify Pro access, process restores, prevent subscription misuse, and provide purchase support.
• Send waitlist updates, support replies, service messages, and important account notices.
• Improve reliability, security, performance, and product quality.
• Comply with legal, tax, security, fraud-prevention, and App Store requirements.

AI Features And Audio

Task Break does not send content to an AI or transcription service until you choose to use the relevant feature after seeing the app's AI-processing disclosure. You can choose not to use these features and continue using Task Break without AI processing. Before information is sent, the app explains the categories of data involved and the services that process it.

• Task breakdowns and Brain Dump organization: the task title, task description, or Brain Dump text you submit is sent through Rork's AI service to Google Gemini to generate the requested result.
• Productivity analysis: selected productivity information, such as task totals, completion rate, overdue-task count, time estimates, categories, priorities, and recent productivity scores, is sent through Rork's AI service to Google Gemini.
• Voice transcription: recording happens on your device. After you grant permission and request transcription, the audio file is uploaded through Rork to ElevenLabs Scribe for speech-to-text processing. If that service is unavailable, Rork's legacy speech-to-text service may process the recording instead.

AI and transcription providers receive the submitted content only to return the feature you requested, operate and secure their services, prevent abuse, and comply with law. Do not submit information you do not want processed by these services.

AI Processing Permission

Task Break requests affirmative permission before transmitting personal data for third-party AI or transcription processing. Declining does not prevent you from using non-AI task management, planning, timer, calendar, or reminder features. You can prevent future AI processing by not initiating AI or transcription features. This does not undo processing that you previously requested.

Permissions

• Microphone access is used only when you choose to record audio for Brain Dump or transcription features.
• Calendar access is used to view or create calendar-related planning items when you choose to use calendar features.
• Notifications are used for reminders, timer alerts, planning nudges, and other app messages you enable.
• Apple Sign In is used to create or access your Task Break account.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information or use it to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. We share information only as needed with service providers that help us operate Task Break, including:

• Rork: routes AI requests and provides AI and speech-to-text infrastructure.
• Google Gemini: processes submitted text and selected productivity information for AI-generated task organization, breakdowns, and insights.
• ElevenLabs: processes submitted audio through its Scribe speech-to-text service when available.
• Supabase: provides account authentication, database, and account-deletion infrastructure.
• RevenueCat and Apple: provide purchase, subscription-status, and restore-purchase services when purchases are enabled.

We require service providers that receive Task Break user data to protect it with the same or equivalent safeguards described in this policy and to process it only for the services they provide to Task Break, subject to applicable law. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer where the recipient remains responsible for protecting the information.

Retention And Deletion

Account and synchronized app data is kept while your account is active and for the limited period reasonably needed to complete deletion, maintain backups, protect security, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. AI text, productivity information, and audio are transmitted to process the request you initiate. Retention by Rork, Google, ElevenLabs, and other processors is limited by their applicable service terms and the operational, security, abuse-prevention, and legal purposes described above.

You can request account deletion in the app or by contacting support. We will delete or anonymize account data under our control unless retention is required for legal, fraud-prevention, security, tax, dispute-resolution, or App Store compliance purposes. Backup copies may remain temporarily until they are overwritten through normal backup cycles.

Your Choices

• You can update or delete tasks and settings in the app.
• You can decline third-party AI and transcription processing and continue using non-AI features.
• You can disable optional permissions in iOS Settings.
• You can restore purchases through the app's purchase flow.
• You can request account deletion or privacy help through the support page.

Children

Task Break is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it when appropriate.
